The 15th Spring Meeting of the Midwest Region of the Evangelical Philosophical Society (EPS). Conference held in conjunction with the 65th Spring Meeting of the Midwest Region of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS).

Plenary Speakers:
Dr. George Marsden. Dr. Marsden is Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Notre Dame. Notable books include Jonathan Edwards: A Life, Understanding Fundamentalism and Evangelicalism, and The Outrageous Idea of Christian Scholarship.
Dr. Millard Erickson. Dr. Erickson's notable books include Christian Theology, Reclaiming the Center, and What Does God Know and When Does He Know It?
Dr. Richard Muller. Dr. Muller is Professor Emeritus of Historical Theology at Calvin Theological Seminary. Notable books include Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics: the Rise and Development of Reformed Theology, ca. 1520-ca.1725 (4 volumes), The Unaccommodated Calvin, and Divine Will and Human Choice: Freedom, Contingency, and Necessity in Early Modern Reformed Thought.
Dr. David Turner. Dr. Turner will be the banquet speaker. Dr. Turner is professor emeritus of New Testament at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. His notable books include Matthew (Baker Exegetical Commentary), Israel's Last Prophet and Interpreting the Gospels and Acts.

Conference Theme: Slavery, Freedom, and Power.
Plenary Speaker: Dr. Michelle Panchuk. Dr. Michelle Panchuk is an assistant professor of philosophy at Murray State University. Prior to coming to MSU, she received her PhD from the University of South Carolina in 2016 and held a one year postdoctoral research fellowship in the Center for Philosophy of Religion at the University of Notre Dame. Her current research clusters at the intersection of philosophy of religion with trauma theory and feminist philosophy. These projects aim to give a philosophical account of, and response to, the phenomena of religious trauma and spiritual violence. Her other interests include metaphysics (abstract properties, theistic conceptual realism, the doctrine of divine simplicity), the history of Russian philosophy (esp. Vladimir Solov’ev), and philosophy of race. Her work has been published in Res Philosophica, International Philosophical Quarterly, and The Encyclopedia of Philosophy of Religion, and she has an edited volume (co-edited with Michael Rea), entitled Marginalized Identities, Peripheral Theologies: Expanding Conversations in Analytic Theology, under contract with Oxford University Press.
Plenary Speaker for ETS: Dr. Willie James Jennings. Dr. Jennings is an associate professor of systematic theology and Africana studies at Yale Divinity School. Writing in the areas of liberation theologies, cultural identities, and anthropology, Dr. Jennings has authored more than 40 scholarly essays and nearly two-dozen reviews. Jennings’ book, The Christian Imagination: Theology and the Origins of Race (Yale 2010) won the American Academy of Religion Award of Excellence in the Study of Religion in the Constructive-Reflective category the year after it appeared and, in 2015, the Grawemeyer Award in Religion, the largest prize for a theological work in North America.

Dr. Van Dyke’s recent works include The Cambridge History of Medieval Philosophy; Thomas Aquinas: The Treatise on Happiness, The Treatise on Human Acts; and Aquinas’s Ethics: Metaphysical Foundations, Moral Theory, and Theological Context.
